    Compassion and awareness of learning/mental health needs

    Train all staff that work with expecting parents about compassionate support for parents with ADHD/Autism and other learning needs/mental health (throughout the experience - before, during and after).

    Difference before and after Covid

    Had all three of my girls at William Harvey and it was so different before and during Covid. I preferred it before where you received more care - but I am happy overall.

    There is excellent support for children with disabilities

    The problem is that in this country people don’t realise how good it is. In Poland it takes months and years to get help for disabled children – here it is so good.

    Sort out waiting times for treatment

    Can’t get a GP appointment to deal with health issues and there is no continuity of care. It took 2.5 years for my daughter who is now three years old, to see a dermatologist.

    Versions of leaflets and help for all ages of mental health services. Paramedic and lots of time is taken up by mental health.

    Take teens seriously

    Better education for teens. Ask teens/young adults what they want to know in small groups. Young people don’t want to listen to an adult telling them what is right and wrong. They need to feel seen and heard and respected. They need to have their mental wellbeing taken more seriously.
